My, oh my, did we have a great vacation in Whistler, British Columbia last week! They've received over 20 feet of snow this year, and the skiing/snowboarding conditions were excellent.
Jen and the boys took lessons. Jen was learning to snowboard, and she did great. By the end of two days of practice, she was getting on the lift and hitting the green runs (a few big bruises notwithstanding)! Go Jen! She's ready for her own board and can't wait to get back up on the Snoqualmie this weekend.
Sam took three full-day skiing lessons, and he has since decided that he wants his own skis! He was getting on the lift and hitting the greens by the end of the week too :-) Go Sam! Charlie on the other hand wasn't quite sure what to make of skiing lessons... he mostly preferred making snowballs and snow angels. Can you blame him? Still, he had lots of fun...
We had great weather. We ate tons of sushi and spent a lot of time soaking in the hot tub at the condo. Also, we got to spend a lot of quality time with our good friends, Kent, Jen, and their son, Reid. Thanks again, guys, for inviting us up for the week!!! All and all, it was very relaxing and a very memorable family vacation. There are more photos of week's our adventures on Flickr.
WOW...awesome shots! Looks like you had great conditions. Isn't it great that the boys are boarding/skiing already. They will be riding circles around you guys before you know it. NO FEAR and a low center of gravity = lots of speed! -Chris
