Hi everyone! We've been so busy at the beginning of 2008 that we haven't had a chance to update our blog. Luckily, things are finally starting to settle down. So, what have we been up to since mid-December? Well, we made a great trip back to Kentucky to visit family and friends over the Christmas and New Years holidays. It was so great to see everyone -- we miss you all so much! The boys had a great time, and Santa was really good to all of us this year. The big hits are all the Hotwheels and Legos. We've had hours of entertainment with those.
Since we returned to Seattle, we've been taking advantage of all of the snow in the mountains. Everyone has snowboarded! We're going snowshoeing this weekend, too...We'll be sure to post pictures of our snow adventures very soon.
I've also got to tell you about all the good news from my work. I've been very fortunate to have four new research grants awarded for 2008! I'm going to be doing new research projects on family-based weight managment, weight-loss surgery, the cost of food (and its relationship to your risk of obesity), and shared decision-making (helping patients make well-informed treatment choices). I'll be very busy this year, but it's going to be fun work. I've got a great group of people to help me make all this research happen.
Most of you know we got a new video camera at the end of 2007. I'm still working out how to edit my videos, so I'll be sure to post some soon. In the meantime, here's some great photos from our recent trip to KY. Love to you all!
